I had no idea that an Electric Vehicle Experience Centre was due to open in the UK until I saw a tweet from Go Ultra Low. Their tweet immediately captured my attention, as not only was the EV Experience Centre due to open the very next day, but it would be in Milton Keynes – less than 23 miles from my home in Aylesbury.

A few days ago, my brother sent me a link to a YouTube video that he described as “compelling and thought provoking”. Now, my brother is certainly not the type of person who’s prone to exaggeration or overstatement. So, naturally, his comments piqued my interest, and I quickly found the time to watch the one-hour video.

When North American online retailer Deelat contacted me a few weeks ago about reviewing one of their products – I jumped at the chance.
They asked me if I’d like review one of their solar-powered LED security lights. I immediately said yes, as I’ve always been fascinated by solar-powered lights (but frequently disappointed by their performance.)
Despite my UK location, Deelat arranged for the product to be shipped to me by FedEx. It arrived promptly, just five days after being sent from Canada.

There are more than 17 million shipping containers in the world, of which 6 million of them are currently transporting goods via truck, train and vessel.
These 6 million containers make an incredible 200 million trips each year, helping to transport everything from cars to smartphones.
To give you an idea of their storage capacity, a standard 20-foot shipping container can hold 1 million pencils!
However, shipping containers are not just for transporting goods…

Water cooling towers are an essential part of many industrial processes. Typically, the towers cool the circulating water used in refineries, power plants, HVAC systems and other heat-intensive applications.
However, the large volumes of water used in cooling towers present several persistent issues: scale, corrosion and bio-contamination.

As you may know, college and university campuses are often sprawling, gigantic places.
For example, Berry College in Rome, Georgia, comprises of over 26,000 acres. This includes meadows, woodlands, streams and 47 main buildings.
While most campuses aren’t the size of Berry College, they’re still typically on a BIG scale.
Now, picture yourself as a student at a college or university. Your residence halls may be a long way from the classroom facilities. You may also have heavy books and laptops to carry with you to and from your classes. In these circumstances, walking or cycling is likely to be inconvenient (especially in bad weather).
Fortunately, there is now a cheap, clean and safe way for travelling within campuses.
