Turning Sunlight and Air into Drinking Water Is Now a Reality
As the ongoing water shortage in Cape Town shows, we should never take our water supply for granted.
Droughts, earthquakes and pollution are just some of the things that can lead to clean water becoming scarce. And without access to clean water, people can rapidly lose their hydration, hygiene – and ultimately their health.
To give you just one example, it’s estimated that 842,000 people a year lose their lives to diarrhoea as a result of unsafe drinking-water, hand hygiene and sanitation. I’m sure you’ll agree, these are shocking numbers.

What did I think?
I was mesmerised. And I think you will be too.
I’ve embedded the video into this post, but let me give you some brief details before you click play…

Reviewed: Solar-Powered LED Security Light
When North American online retailer Deelat contacted me a few weeks ago about reviewing one of their products – I jumped at the chance.
They asked me if I’d like review one of their solar-powered LED security lights. I immediately said yes, as I’ve always been fascinated by solar-powered lights (but frequently disappointed by their performance.)
Despite my UK location, Deelat arranged for the product to be shipped to me by FedEx. It arrived promptly, just five days after being sent from Canada.

Water cooling towers are an essential part of many industrial processes. Typically, the towers cool the circulating water used in refineries, power plants, HVAC systems and other heat-intensive applications.
However, the large volumes of water used in cooling towers present several persistent issues: scale, corrosion and bio-contamination.
Traditionally, these issues have proved costly to rectify, both in monetary and environmental terms.
Fortunately, advancements in technology have allowed Arizona-based Dynamic Water Technologies to introduce a water cooling tower treatment system that effectively addresses these issues.
