Inspiration for a Brighter Future

The World’s First International Conference Dedicated to Alternative Fuels

Alternative Fuels

Countries with little or no oil reserves are often drawn to alternative fuels or biofuels. These non-conventional fuels offer protection against fuel security issues that can occur in our frequently hostile world.

Additionally, biofuels produce less greenhouse gases than fossil fuels when burned.

You may be familiar with some common biofuels: Ethanol, Green Diesel, Jatropha and Soybean.

These fuels are produced through contemporary biological processes – such as agriculture and anaerobic digestion. This contrasts with fossil fuels, which are produced by geological processes.

ICAF 2016

Due to the increasing popularity of alternative fuels, three energy pioneers (Bio GreenPower, Erciyes Teknopark and Erciyes University) have organised the world’s first international conference dedicated to alternative fuels.

The ICAF 2016 conference will explore the future challenges, directions and economics of alternative fuels.

The conference takes place 2-4 December 2016 at Erciyes University in Kayseri City, Turkey.

Kayseri has an international airport with direct flights to Germany, and daily flights to Ankara and Istanbul. Bus and airport shuttle services are available from the airport to all local hotels.

Expert researchers, leading industry figures and engineers will share and discuss advances in alternative fuels and their recent applications.

Attendees can expect to learn about the following:

  • Development of new alternative fuels.
  • Physical and chemical properties of alternative fuels.
  • Socioeconomic and environmental impacts of alternative fuels.
  • Waste-to-energy systems.

Conference partners include: ASRANet, EcoMena, Erciyes Teknopark, Erciyes University and International Journal of Thermal and Environmental Engineering.

How to Attend

Registration for the conference is now open.

Several ticket types are available, including Author or Student packages. These include a reception, workshops, gala dinner and social events.

If you only want to attend the workshops, there is the option of a Tutorials only ticket.
